RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL BEVERAGE TRAINING
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification is a program designed to educate individuals who work in the hospitality industry, such as bartenders, servers, and managers, on responsible alcohol service. The program provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to PREVENT intoxication, drunk driving, and underage drinking.
TIPS certification is widely recognized and accepted in the United States by over 70 insurance companies as a vital risk management tool and as a way to demonstrate competency in responsible alcohol service.
Overview
The program covers various topics to include:
Alcohol-related laws and regulations
Recognizing signs of intoxication
Responsible alcohol serving strategies
Handling difficult situations
Preventing drunk driving
Certification examination
Participants will become certified in the TIPS program and receive a TIPS certification card valid for 3 years upon successful completion.
